Full torch assembly and actual clamps, with the required welding orientation along the seam. Who supplied the line drawing, and has the welding process person seen it?

Integrator supplied it as an early reach sketch. Our welding lead has seen it and flagged the inside corner. No torch assembly in the model yet.

8 pointsWe had a proposal which showed the torch reaching the start and end of a short weld, then the proper review found a clamp in between, so I'd ask for the travel between those pictures as well as nicer pictures.

2 pointsModel is back. Torch body meets the gusset at the required orientation on the inner seam. There's also a clamp obstruction on approach. Turning the fixture is one suggestion, not checked yet.

10 pointsNot that clash, Oliver. It could alter the arm approach and clamp access. The inner-seam problem still needs an acceptable torch arrangement or a different process plan.
5 pointsWelding lead agrees. Rotation helps the approach but leaves the gusset clash. Integrator is checking one other torch arrangement with them. Nobody is proposing to alter the weld just to suit the robot.

8 pointsIt's an option to price. Not my favourite. We would still need the welder for the inner seam and another fixture handoff, so the original saving certainly doesn't survive unchanged.

16 pointsOur purchasing comparison once made a mixed process look cheap by charging the robot for its part and forgetting that the manual station still needed its normal setup, so I'd want one cost for a finished bracket, whoever makes which seam.

18 pointsYasmin, it has been assessed and rejected for this fixture. Oliver, our welding lead's mixed proposal puts the manual seam first. The complete cost, including that setup and fixture handoff, removes the saving for our batches. We've dropped this bracket from the FR10 proposal. Useful review, even if the answer is irritating.
23 pointsI'd take an irritating answer before ordering over a permanent extra handoff afterwards; keep the finished-bracket comparison for whoever next asks why this one stayed manual.
