Our workshop laptop sometimes gets a ping reply from the FR10 but times out on the documented read-only status request, while a borrowed laptop has worked; what should I ask IT to record so we can compare the endpoint, route and service before changing the controller?

Record the active adapter, address and route to the controller on each laptop, plus the target address and service used by the script. Include docks and virtual adapters. Compare interpreter and SDK versions too, so a software difference is not mistaken for a network one.
