I asked the seller to confirm our fixture interface before ordering. They did. Delivered adapter has a different suffix and a changed shoulder. Tooling stays unfitted. Why am I getting same function instead of a drawing comparison?
Ask for the two shoulder dimensions and how the tool locates on each version. Or rather, ask their technical person to explain that comparison, not sales to repeat equivalent in a longer sentence.
Sent the comparison request to their technical contact. Also asked whether they can supply the confirmed revision instead. No machining changes to our fixture while this is vague.
Good to keep that option. Does your own tooling reviewer have the supplied adapter drawing yet, or only the photographs? They'll need something firmer before judging either route.
