Why are my 182 fixture-change kits missing their tool cables?

I opened a sealed accessory delivery for 182 FR10 fixture-change kits and found too few tool cables. Each kit should contain one. The seller in China now describes the quantity as pieces, despite the invoice saying kits and their final contents message listing the cable per kit. I need a clear way to resolve the count.

Make the arithmetic visible: ordered kits, cables required per kit, actual cables received, shortage. Attach the invoice and contents agreement beside it. Sealed packaging does not settle the agreed quantity.

I've made that table and photographed the contents. The seller's answer still repeats pieces without explaining how that matches the per-kit message. I haven't agreed their interpretation.

Ask which line of your calculation they dispute. Easier to answer than another kit-versus-piece argument.

They now offer more cables with our next order. There's no next order planned, and the current kits can't all be completed. I have asked for a proposal against this order alone.

That offer leaves the present shortage unresolved. Ask for quantity, cable identity, dispatch timing and any charges in writing before deciding whether it addresses what you bought.

Keep stores informed. A promised cable should not appear as available kit stock.

Stores has the actual completed-kit count. Thanks, Elliot; our teaching schedule was using the ordered count. The seller still hasn't given a separate dispatch proposal, so nothing is on its way that I can verify.

Has purchasing set its next escalation date? The shortage has a practical cost even while the seller keeps the discussion alive.
