Our UR5e operators learned the clean run I showed them

I'm rewriting the handover because I taught the easy bit. Full tray, saved housing job, everything where it belonged. Then a pocket was empty after an interruption and the operator quite reasonably asked me what the machine thought it had already done. I answered from memory. That is not a procedure, and it won't help the covering shift. I want the programmer and shift lead to agree what can be established, what stays uncertain and who decides the next step before I teach this again.

Use that actual interruption as the first walkthrough, then a similar case with a known completed placement. Ask the programmer to explain the retained identity and state, and the lead to own the physical reconciliation decision.

Make the support person take the example call too. I've received beautifully prepared reports that omitted the one job identifier I needed to find the right instructions.

Good point, Ben. Our screen shows the housing family but not the tray job reference. The programmer is adding that to the proposed operator view. Victor, the two interruption cases are in the walkthrough.

Our cover arrangement failed at holidays. Who stands in for the shift lead?

Also, what happens if nobody can establish whether the pocket was filled? Don't write an example where the lead always discovers the answer. Sometimes the honest result is we still don't know.

Sofia's right. The unresolved case needs an agreed hold and escalation route, not an instruction to repeat until the screen agrees with somebody's guess.

Liam, deputy lead covers it. Sofia, unknown placement now stays out of the normal next-pocket path. Controls and the lead have agreed the review route; I'm not adding my own recovery recipe on top.

Did the first operator walkthrough make sense without you explaining every new label?

Not entirely. The operator understood the hold but took reviewed to mean ready to resume. We meant the lead had recorded a decision, which could still leave the tray held. That label is changing.

Worth finding now. Reviewed is one of those words that sounds finished until someone asks finished doing what.

Did the deputy try the same examples?

And include reopening after the decision is saved. The application must retain what the lead decided, or the next shift gets the same mystery in a fresh-looking row.

Deputy tried them, Liam. Victor, the restart test retains both the decision and the remaining hold. Screen now names the disposition rather than only saying reviewed. Second walkthrough is arranged with a different operator.

Please report what that operator asks. Those questions tend to be better than another author's review of their own sheet.

Ben, agreed. Give them space to be puzzled before rescuing the demonstration.

Second walkthrough passed, including uncertain placement and a reviewed-but-held tray. The operator found the job reference and contacted the deputy without prompting. Installer completed the agreed station checks with them. New handover issued; my clean-run-only sheet is withdrawn.

Thanks for coming back with the covering-shift result.
