I can't decide whether to ask IT or the application maintainer next. Our workshop laptop sometimes pings the FR5 but times out on the documented availability read. The second laptop reportedly worked, though nobody retained its endpoint, route or imported interface. I'd like one comparison we can actually reproduce.

Have both owners compare the actual destination, selected interface and route, then the same read-only request. First confirm that worked on the other laptop means that request succeeded, not just ping.

The other laptop's old note only says connected, so we've stopped treating it as a confirmed successful read. IT and the maintainer have agreed to reproduce the same request and retain both setups. No controller change chosen.
