Separate those measurement conditions before drawing a trend. A clamped alignment check and final inspection may answer different questions, even if both were labelled pass.
That note is not a transferable process definition. Identify what is unknown rather than asking a new operator to reproduce an undocumented correction by feel.
Photograph the current fixture and identify its revision in the review. The old sheets may describe different stops or supports. And keep final acceptance tied to the drawing's specified inspection conditions.
Include incoming fit-up observations where they exist. Otherwise all variation enters the discussion at the fixture, simply because that is where the old records begin.
