Why does my bounded UR5e pilot still have unbounded staff time?

I've defined the mounting-block trial's start and finish. Fixture development and our own hours still have no allowance.

Our estimates get into trouble when trial means keep trying until it works. What decision should this pilot enable, and what amount of design effort are you prepared to spend finding out?

Put the unknown fixture work in a paid discovery stage. Small budget, actual deliverable. Buying the arm first won't make the nest design any less uncertain.

We need to decide whether tray unloading saves enough attention to justify a complete cell. Not merely demonstrate motion.

Who counts the attention, including the person preparing the next tray?

Anika, yes. Victor, include your time answering questions during the trial. Otherwise the operator looks independent while the programmer quietly becomes an unpaid second operator.

And agree what stops the discovery stage. A useful answer can be that your current tray supply makes the job unattractive. Nobody should need a successful demonstration to justify finishing the study.

Colleague will record preparation and attendance. We've agreed a capped fixture study before deciding on equipment purchase.

Does that scope include the pilot's required safeguarding and competent supervision?

Yes. Cell owner defines those before any trial. They are included costs, not borrowed assumptions.

That's a much easier proposal to buy honestly. Still waiting on the fixture-study price, or has the cap already been agreed with its designer?

Victor, interested in that too. A spending cap in your sheet needs a matching scope from the person doing the work.
