Count that dispatch work before protecting the maximum layer count; our straight-row comparison looked worse until the extra handling on the fancy pattern was included.

Could you move the label instead? Only if packaging accepts the change. It might preserve support without turning the box.

A label change is an option to ask about, not free work. Include its printing, application and verification in the comparison if the customer permits it.

Yes, with fewer cartons across the row. It uses more pallets for our larger orders, which is why dispatch wants the full-order comparison.

More pallets means more changes too; is anyone measuring that job rather than just multiplying a unit pallet price?

Include where incomplete pallets wait and how they return. A full-order comparison can still miss the awkward short order that consumes the operator's attention.

On the tool side, ask for the straight pattern's placement sequence through withdrawal. The new top view alone won't tell you whether the fingers can leave the last carton.

Joint review cleared support and the modelled tool sequence for the straight candidate. The partial-order exercise found our waiting pallet blocks the return route, so dispatch is changing that arrangement.

Another marked space is available. The packer walked the proposed transfer and return with the supervisor; the revised handling time is now in the comparison.
