How do I find out which warehouse has our arm?

Our FR5 seller says the crate left their yard. The freight agent says it never entered theirs. Different references on each reply. I've finished the inspection fixture and now own a very tidy empty space.

Ask the seller for the handover record showing the receiving party and crate marks. 'Left our yard' does not identify where it went.

They sent a pickup booking with a vehicle slot. No receiving signature or crate marks. I've asked for the completed handover record rather than the booking.

Send both references to the freight agent and ask whether they map to one consignment. Keep the crate identifier in that question.

Agent says the seller reference is a local collection booking, not their warehouse intake reference. They want the collection company's receipt. We still have no confirmed physical location.

Use a short table of the references and who issued each one. It helps purchasing ask about the missing transfer, rather than another general delivery update.

Has the seller named the collection company? That is the next party whose receipt is missing.

Did the seller actually claim physical handover in writing, or have they been saying 'shipment arranged'? Those phrases get stretched a lot in forwarding chains.

They wrote 'collected from us'. Purchasing has that message and the reference table now. I've asked for the carrier name and signed collection evidence in one reply.

That leaves a specific gap to resolve: evidence of collection and its link to warehouse receipt. Keep the installation schedule tentative until an identified party confirms custody of your actual crate.

Still no collection receipt. I've stopped using 'in transit' in our own update (wishful thinking on my part). Purchasing has the questions ready for Monday.

That wording is better. I'd put the next review time in the update as well, so people aren't treating each new message as a delivery forecast. You haven't got enough evidence for one yet.

Fair enough, thanks. Monday afternoon is in the note now. At least the empty space isn't promising a delivery date anymore.
