Which receipt links our FR10 crate to the freight agent's number?

Our seller says the FR10 and mounting kit were handed over. The freight agent says awaiting warehouse receipt under a different reference. I have the seller's collection sheet but cannot match it to the agent's booking. What should I request to find where the crate actually went?

Request the crate marks and the receiving record for the handover named on that collection sheet. Send both references to both contacts in one comparison, asking them to identify the relationship rather than interpret each message in isolation.

The collection sheet names a local haulier, not the freight agent. Our crate mark appears on it. I have asked where the haulier delivered and for that receiving record.

That may be an earlier transport leg. Keep the requested warehouse intake distinct from the collection already documented; one does not automatically establish the other.

Seller says a consolidation yard received it. No receipt supplied. Agent says it still has nothing under its booking number. Both contacts now have the full crate mark and the same document bundle.

Our paperwork once shortened a crate mark differently at each end. A label photograph helped people recognise the same box. Do you have one rather than only the typed mark?

Yes, from the seller before collection. It matches the collection sheet. I've sent the photograph too and asked the yard to search that exact mark rather than only the freight booking.

Ask who is actually coordinating the trace. Otherwise you can collect three useful replies that nobody at the other two companies reads. Has the seller put a freight contact in charge?

The warehouse's own receipt or search response remains the missing link. A coordinator can pursue that without asking you to treat the seller's recollection as a confirmed location.

And tell the workshop it isn't an arrival estimate yet, because somebody will hear consolidation yard and start wondering whether they should clear a corner for it

Julia, seller's freight coordinator is now responsible. Felix, our workshop schedule says location unconfirmed. The coordinator has requested the yard intake, not given us a onward shipment date.

Did the yard recognise the photograph?

It recognised the crate mark in an incoming list but has not completed the physical search or supplied a signed receipt. I have reported that limited answer, without changing our location status to confirmed.

Did they name who is doing that physical search? The reference match is progress, but someone still needs to find the actual crate.
