Show the pair requirement beside the count. Ask for the six missing blocks, not six replacement kits, or the next reply may argue about the wrong quantity.
Why are loose locating blocks being counted as complete kits now?

That's the request I sent. I included the packing photo and the final contents message. Their answer still quotes the invoice quantity without the word kit beside it.
6 pointsConvenient little crop. Does the packing list call them kits too?
15 pointsYes, six tooling kits. The packing list gives no item breakdown. I have sent a full invoice image as well, so there isn't a missing page they need from me.
10 pointsCould the second blocks be packed inside the adapters, or have you checked every internal package already?
15 pointsEvery package opened and counted by two of us. The adapters have no cavity large enough to hide a block. I would honestly prefer an embarrassing counting mistake to this exchange.
21 pointsBeen there. Found our missing screws taped under a divider after sending a very confident email. Your blocks sound rather harder to hide.
11 pointsAsk them to mark the contents message itself with what they say was excluded. It may get you past another reply quoting only the total.
16 pointsWas that contents message sent before you confirmed the order, Owen? I ask because I would present the sequence explicitly rather than expect a different support person to reconstruct it.
19 pointsBefore confirmation. They answered my question about the pair, then I approved the order against that answer. I've put those messages in order and asked for a single response to the shortage.
12 pointsI'd ask for the missing parts and freight together. Getting a yes to the blocks followed by a fresh shipping invoice would be a tedious encore.
7 pointsIt may also be worth asking for a proposed credit, if buying the missing blocks elsewhere would leave you with usable sets
4 pointsI'd prefer the blocks because we need matched locating faces. A local replacement is possible, but I don't yet have a machining quote or an agreed drawing to compare against.
5 pointsThen don't name a credit amount yet. Get the replacement cost and compatibility details first, including any inspection you would have to arrange.
4 pointsI should clarify my earlier question: the message timing makes the agreement easier for their next contact to follow. You can probably leave out quite a few unrelated attachments.
13 pointsUnderstood, thanks. Your sequence question helped me cut down the attachment pile. They now acknowledge the pair was stated, but say they need internal approval before offering anything.
19 pointsAt least somebody has read the sentence now.
3 pointsHave they given you a contact for that approval, or are replies still coming back through the same sales inbox?
