Have you got a clear trial-pad picture and the delivered pads side by side? Or rather, separate labelled pictures. Can't put a video clip on the bench.
Ask for the pad drawings and material identification against both configurations. Appearance suggests a difference but will not explain their equivalence claim
I'd want them to repeat the sample trial with the offered pads. We can debate photographs forever; their replacement needs to hold, release and leave your actual pieces acceptable.
Keep the original trial conditions with that request, including which samples and receiving fixture were used, so a different easy demonstration does not replace the question.
No, I'd get the proposed configuration written down first. Then decide whether a repeat trial is worth arranging. I wasn't suggesting Caleb ship another box into the correspondence void.
Technical contact says these are their standard pads, but hasn't linked them to our application. I asked whether they can supply the trial design instead.
No answer on the trial design yet. Purchasing has requested either a defined replacement proposal or their proposed commercial remedy. Still nothing installed.
Will you post which way they go? Curious whether the original pads can actually be supplied or whether the demo was showing something they no longer offer.
