I handed over our UR5e sleeve-unloading job with a start procedure. Operators now call me for empty pockets and interrupted runs. Looking back, I did not explain those decisions.
There is no instruction for that case. The program waits, and I have been deciding whether to skip or recover it. That knowledge never made it into the handover.
Then calling you is the sensible bit of this setup, isn't it? Give them an approved decision path and somewhere to stop when the situation doesn't match it.
Agreed. We are reviewing the interruption cases with the integrator and operators, then practising the approved recovery procedures under supervision. I have stopped treating the calls as a training failure.
