two spacer demos, one tray nobody at our bench currently uses

The tidy-tray FR10 demo looks quicker than the one using our workshop pockets. I would consider changing trays, but the price needs to include getting our molded spacers into them and back to the next operation. At present the videos compare two different amounts of work.

Compare complete methods. Use the same incoming spacers, accepted receiving condition and ordinary quantity, with tray preparation, exchange and removal included. The special tray may still win, but the person supplying it needs to appear in the comparison.

Our next operation uses the workshop tray directly. The special-tray proposal therefore adds preparation at the front and a transfer afterwards. I've asked both suppliers to price their complete method with those handoffs visible.

Retain manual handling as the baseline too. Paying for two new transfers to automate the bit between them needs a measured reason.

Has the person doing those transfers tried the proposed tray yet?
