Thinking through a loan system for robot tooling. A label on the box is fine until the insert leaves the box. I don't want to mark a contact face just to make stores happy. How do you keep the part identity with small removable bits without making the fitter's job a pain?
That's the awkward bit I hadn't asked. I was picturing a label on everything, including pieces too small to read it. I'll take the size question back to the tooling person.
I'd still use a labelled return tray while the marking is sorted. But an occupied slot doesn't tell me the right revision came back. Who checks the loose pieces when they're returned?
