Ask dispatch to name the parcel, not sales to repeat the promise.
8pointsDispatch replied with a warehouse photograph. Controller carton visible, no readable label. I've asked where it is now and for its actual mark; at least someone has stopped sending the arm receipt.
7pointsAsk when that photograph was taken. A carton in a warehouse photo could describe the day before dispatch or the reason it never happened.
21pointsAnd keep the assembly-fixture setup out of the firm schedule meanwhile. Your arm receipt cannot supply a controller arrival date.
18pointsIs the power lead explicitly included in that carton inventory? It remains a separate missing order item until someone identifies where it was packed.
4pointsHenry's right. Don't let finding the controller swallow the cable question.
10pointsHenry, the list now names both. Sara Abbott, the photo was taken after my latest enquiry; carton is still at the consolidation warehouse, waiting for the seller's release instruction. So 'sent separately' was rubbish.
-1pointsGet the seller to correct that statement in the order account, then ask who issues the release. The warehouse has given you a specific missing action.
19pointsI'd tell the installer that exact status. Waiting for release is easier to plan around than a parcel supposedly moving somewhere for weeks.
19pointsSara Archer, agreed. I would also distinguish a release instruction from collection when the next update arrives; neither establishes the other on its own.
18pointsSeller has sent the release instruction and corrected the shipment account. Warehouse acknowledged it, with the controller carton mark in the reply. No collection event yet.
16pointsThat's movement on the paperwork, at least.
12pointsWhich carrier is collecting?
8pointsThe forwarder's local partner has the booking. They've supplied a new transport reference linked to this carton, with collection still pending. Receiving has that reference and the controller and lead inventory.
11pointsGood, receiving can close the right shortage when it arrives. I would leave the setup date loose until that actually happens.
13pointsIt arrived. Controller and lead both present, markings checked against the agreed package list by our installer. Receiving has closed the two missing lines; we're arranging setup separately.
20pointsGlad the second box finally became a box. Did the delivery account get the actual receipt attached too?
5pointsAnd keep the old wrong reference marked as the arm only.
18pointsBoth done. Old reference marked arm only, second receipt attached to the controller lines. Thanks Elliot for pointing me at dispatch, and both Saras for keeping the buying and planning bits straight.
