The tested carton had no tape under the cups

Our FR5 tooling supplier demonstrated a smooth carton. The production version has printed board and a taped seam through the proposed pickup area. I have retained examples from both packaging sources. What should the comparison cover before we accept the vacuum concept? The demonstration did not use these cartons.

Use your filled cartons, with the actual seam and print positions included.

Samples sent. The supplier suggests moving the cups either side of the seam, but the carton width varies between our two sources.

Ask them to show that arrangement on both sizes.

Does the tool still clear the carton flaps and release cleanly in the receiving lane?

Not checked in their first proposal. I have added the receiving lane dimensions and requested the full transfer and release with both carton types.

One source's carton passed the revised supplier trial; the other leaked around the printed area. They are reviewing another contact arrangement. Acceptance remains open for the mixed supply.

Any result on that second carton yet?
