I ordered Fairino FR10 from an unnamed seller in China after they confirmed a configuration against our fixture drawing. The delivered label has a different suffix, and the interface around the gripper mounting plate looks different from that drawing. The seller says equivalent but hasn't provided a comparison.
I've left our tooling unfitted and waited 47 days for clarification
The job is transferring small fixture plates
Do you've the seller's confirmation, delivered identification label, and fixture drawing available together? Comparing those would identify the discrepancy without assuming what the suffix means.
Yes. Their prepayment reply references our drawing, and the delivered identifier differs. My unpacking photos show the interface difference before we've fitted anything
@AlexArcher0385 Send that comparison and ask for the applicable interface drawing for the delivered configuration. Leave the tooling unfitted while compatibility is checked.
@AlexArcher0385 A configuration discrepancy is a fair description. State the agreed and delivered identifiers along with the visible interface difference, so the seller can address both directly.
A matching interface drawing would establish that the delivered configuration is compatible with your fixture. Request that document to support the seller's equivalence claim.
@ChenAdams0094 I overstated what that document would establish. The drawing can help resolve physical fit, while the remaining compatibility questions need assessment against your intended configuration and application.
The suffix's meaning hasn't been established. Whatever its explanation, the seller still needs to account for the visible difference from the confirmed interface drawing.
My concern is the interface they confirmed for our fixture design. Interpreting the identification suffix is secondary to establishing whether the supplied arrangement matches that agreement
During a separate fixture project of mine, I considered making an adapter without the applicable drawing. Obtaining the drawing first prevented me from basing the design on an unconfirmed assumption.
The configuration comparison has been completed, and qualified review supports the supplied interface for our stated fixture requirements. I've accepted it on that limited basis; installation checks remain
