I received Universal Robots UR5e for loading lightweight fixtures from an unnamed seller in China with a crushed crate corner, displaced supports, and visible damage near the pendant enclosure. Our setup is still unpowered. I retained the packaging and took arrival photos, while the seller has suggested switching it on without an assessment procedure.
Our setup is beside an uncommissioned handling station.
Yes. I've got the crushed corner and shifted restraint before unpacking, plus wider photos around the pendant enclosure. I kept the delivery paperwork too.
@JonasCarter0981 Send that set with a request for a qualified condition assessment and handling instructions. Leave it unpowered; 'switch it on' isn't an inspection procedure.
The restraint displacement suggests that an impact reached the equipment itself. Include that image in the assessment request alongside the external crate photographs.
@BenBennett0718 A startup wouldn't rule out hidden damage. With visible damage and moved supports, get the assessment method agreed before energizing anything.
I'm concerned that a successful power-on would be treated as a complete condition assessment. I'll keep our equipment unpowered until there's a suitable process.
