Ask the consolidator what was inside each handling unit. Use the separate crate marks.

Does the arm crate still have an outer pallet label you can photograph?

On a split delivery, our stores team found the smaller package booked to the office that paid the freight, not to the machine job. That may not be your case, but give receiving the crate mark as well as the purchase reference when they search.

Was the tooling crate physically seen during that unloading, or inferred from the pallet contents list?

Good question. A pallet tick alone would leave you back where you started, just with a more local signature.

Then ask stores to check the location under that internal label, while keeping the original crate identity in the enquiry. Once found, the tooling contents still need checking against your order.
