Would a stronger clamp hide a locating problem? (Fairino FR10)

Our proposed nest for Fairino FR10 doing presenting mounting brackets for inspection in a machined-bracket assembly workshop contacts several surfaces on a steel sensor bracket. CAD looks tidy, but my bench samples don't all sit the same way. Someone suggested a stronger clamp. How do I check whether the locating scheme is fighting itself before we approve tooling?

@WillBaker0487 Start by identifying the contacts that establish the required drawing datums. A map distinguishing them from supports and clamps will help interpret your rocking samples.

@HazelAdams0136 On my sketch, the mounting holes and outside wall both determine lateral position. Everything is labelled as a locator, with no stated priority between those contacts.

Show the fixture designer where those constraints overlap, alongside the permitted hole-to-wall relationship. A relieved wall contact is one candidate for their review.

@HazelAdams0136 That proposal depends on the required datum scheme. Without establishing it, relieving the wall might remove the reference needed by the operation.
