Can't approve the outer cartons yet

Our UR5e pallet sketch leaves two rotated cartons partly overhanging the layer below. Packing wants supported edges. Which view should I request?

A view of each carton base against the actual support beneath it, with the packing requirement marked. How much of the disagreement is overhang beyond the load, and how much is a gap inside it? Those aren't interchangeable drawings.

Both occur. The outer corners overhang, while one long base edge spans an internal gap.

Mark those as separate conditions on the review. The packaging person can then assess each support question while the integrator checks the tool's approach and release against the same carton positions. A top view alone hides the underside contact.

Does the pattern include the actual pallet deck, or does the drawing treat it as a continuous surface?

Include that too. First-layer support comes from the pallet, while higher layers sit on cases or sheets. Whoever reviews the proposal needs to know which interface they're approving instead of calling the entire stack one pattern.

I'd also show where the operator stands to deal with a rejected carton. The outside edge is often where that recovery happens.

Agreed, with that recovery arrangement reviewed for the cell. But don't move the carton positions to create access without returning the revised support layout to packaging; fixing one drawing can invalidate the answer on another.

The deck is only a rectangle. I've requested its real construction and the carton support views.

Are the packed cartons the same size as those in the sketch? I mean their actual filled dimensions, including any bulge. Our nominal case drawing understated the footprint at the middle of each side.

I only have the nominal drawing. Added filled-carton measurements to the request. Thanks for spotting that.
