The FR5 adapter we received is deeper than the one on the accepted fixture drawing, and its connector projects into our bracket space. Different label suffix too. Twenty-four days of equivalent replies. Our tooling is still unfitted; I need a comparison of what they supplied, not another claim that it should work.
Ask them to identify the delivered adapter drawing and compare it with the accepted arrangement, including that connector. The suffix is a reason to investigate, not enough by itself to describe the difference.
I'd still hear the alternative if it can be assessed cheaply. The delivered one might suit, but only with the real changes and support responsibility stated (not a free bracket move).
Mia, agreed about hearing it, but the connector clash already needs a defined solution. A general suitability reply cannot stand in for that comparison.
And ask which assembly would be supplied as a spare if you accept the alternative. A supported modification needs an identity the next maintainer can order, rather than a photograph of what someone made fit.
Anika, our integrator owns the application assessment. Sam and Lin, the setter checked the suggested bracket position and it blocks fixture removal. Felix, spare identity is unanswered. We have rejected that proposed move.
Original adapter available, they say, with an identified drawing matching the accepted one. Purchasing is asking for the exchange terms and who covers shipping; no collection arranged yet.
That sounds more promising than redesigning a useful fixture for the delivered difference. Has your integrator checked the offered replacement reference, not just the seller saying original?
Integrator has matched the replacement drawing and connection arrangement to the originally assessed tooling. Purchasing has the confirmation. Exchange terms are still being agreed.
Keep the rejected bracket position with that exchange request; saves the next sales reply offering the same generous opportunity to redesign your fixture.
Give receiving the confirmed replacement identity and the item being returned when the terms are settled. The equipment folder should make it possible to distinguish them without replaying this whole discussion.
Exchange agreed in writing, with the seller covering the specified shipping and packing arrangements. Replacement not dispatched yet. I'm keeping the tooling unfitted until the delivered replacement is checked against that confirmed arrangement.
