Because a line reaching a point looks wonderfully conclusive in a sales meeting. Ask for the blank held in the fingers, not just the empty tool, and the door in its actual loading position.

Liam, I would also want the setter in this conversation before a new base position is offered. Moving the whole lot sideways often gets suggested as if the floor beside a mill were spare by definition.

We have a proposed side position too. Setter says that is their jaw-change space.

Then put that objection on the actual side-position drawing. Otherwise it becomes one person's vague preference and the next revision quietly occupies the same space again. I've watched that argument go round more than once.
