Ask them exactly that, because the fingers fitting would not tell me whether the complete tool still reaches into your tray the same way
different adapter under the tool we approved

What visible difference do you have, Emma? Length, fitting position, or only a different marking?
13 pointsI'd put the agreed adapter beside the delivered one in the order discussion. A replacement can be workable and still need an application review. The seller should explain the change instead of treating the matching bolt pattern as the end of it.
7 pointsSofia, the delivered adapter is longer and its air fitting comes out at the side; Owen, the trial photo is attached to the agreed tooling list.
10 pointsSide fitting is the bit I'd want in the tray model. And whoever buys replacements needs the delivered identity, not another bag labelled equivalent
4 pointsWhy accept a new tray problem for a part you didn't choose? Ask for the agreed adapter.
11 pointsWe had a replacement adapter accepted after review, but the tool assessment had to include its changed geometry and load. I would not rule this one out from length alone.
4 pointsJane, would getting the original actually be quicker here, or are we assuming they still have it because it appears in the trial?
13 pointsAsk its availability before buying another review. That question costs little.
6 pointsThe original trial should remain attached to the original assembly. I mean do not replace its adapter name in the trial sheet and let an old result become approval of the delivered one.
11 pointsThe seller says the original is discontinued, with no replacement notice attached; I've asked whether they mean discontinued by its maker or simply no longer stocked by them.
18 pointsGood question. A stores decision and a manufacturer's change notice lead to different replacement conversations. Has anyone measured the delivered assembly yet?
5 pointsQuinn, I wasn't assuming stock; I want them to answer for the agreed part before we fund a redesign.
18 pointsJane, I agree on who should explain and fund the change. I would still consider the replacement if they supply a complete assessment and the application checks work out. Returning usable hardware is not automatically the best outcome either.
5 pointsNaomi's warning is useful. I've seen a parts list updated while the demonstration photos stayed untouched. Looks wonderfully complete until you try to order the same thing again
14 pointsEmma, if the longer tool changes how trays are swapped, will your operator get to review that too? The actual changeover is easy to lose in this adapter argument
