I can't choose a packing supplier from these incomplete totals

I need comparable UR5e packing proposals because one includes carton presentation and the other leaves it to us. Guarding and training estimates are still incomplete too. How do I show the unknown costs fairly?

Show unknown as unknown. Empty cells shouldn't become free equipment.

I've changed that in the comparison. One total now has three unknown items beside it, which explains its apparent advantage rather well.

Who prices the presentation work?

Nobody yet. Our toolroom assumed it came with the robot. I have asked the supplier to quote it against the same carton sample as the other bidder.

Include commissioning time for that tooling, not just making it.

What does training mean in each offer? We once paid for a session that the actual late-shift users couldn't attend, then paid again to cover the people running the job. The first price was technically accurate and operationally useless.

One says two operators for a basic session; the other has not specified numbers or content. I've asked for changeover, recovery and maintenance handover coverage as well as staffing details.

Good questions. Get the answers in the revised offers.

Do both offers use the same carton revision and incoming orientation?

Same carton revision, different orientation assumptions. We can supply mixed orientations today. The supplier expecting pre-oriented cartons is revising its scope, so I still cannot compare complete prices.

That assumption can hide a whole person's job, we discovered the proposed automation started after someone had spent ages preparing its nice orderly input. Put your actual bench routine in front of them before they price the next version
