Get quality to define the viewing method and identify an accepted sleeve plus the kinds of rejected marks that matter. Then examine the next samples before handling too. Your current arcs may be useful examples, but nobody can tell when they appeared from an after-only photograph.

The sleeves are retained. I can give quality those and untouched pieces from the same incoming batch. The arcs are not yet classified as rejects.

I'd want the tool supplier to explain the proposed contact, what keeps the sleeve secure, and how it lets go into the next nest. A pretty sleeve that needs someone to peel it out of the fingers is a different problem, not a successful comparison.

You needn't turn it into a grand ceremony. Just know which contact happened during the proposed process and which happened while you were trying to inspect it.
