Finger channels under the carton support strips

Our project engineer owns the layout. He has the two marked drawings but no combined revision yet. The count in the estimate still comes from the original pattern.

I'd mark that count provisional now. My review had three drawings with different gaps before we put them together. It was surprisingly easy to think everybody had agreed the same arrangement.

Anika, useful question, but Jo hasn't said the recovery task yet. The layout needs that task defined rather than an assumed hand reaching into the gap.

Fair. Jo, who handles a damaged carton and where is that done? That's what I should have asked.

Harish, yes, packaging checked our current packed sample. Anika, damaged cartons are removed upstream before pallet loading; the interruption procedure at the pallet still needs defining.

Keep those as separate tasks in the review. Upstream rejection doesn't answer what happens if a carton is damaged during placement.

Understood, Sofia. I've added that open question rather than describing the upstream check as recovery. The combined section now shows exactly where the channel crosses the strip.

Thanks for checking the construction. Has tooling offered a different withdrawal arrangement, or is packaging being asked to accept the same gap with a clearer drawing?

Two alternatives proposed: changed withdrawal space, or a lower-count layer. Neither approved by packaging yet. The estimate now labels the original count provisional.

Please post which survives the joint review. Including what happens to the interruption task, not only the carton count.
