We rejected an early position using a measured dummy tool at a stationary machine. It could be a useful first screen for yours, provided nobody treats passing that static check as approval of the robot route.
Include the setter's fixture trolley while you're measuring, Daniel, because our proposed base once created a marvellous robot approach by blocking the person who changed the fixture
The tool body overlapped a machine-side fitting beside the opening. The fingers alone had cleared it. We kept that rejected position in the review pack so it was not proposed again by someone reading only the original sketch.
Please post the eventual arrangement, especially the setter access; a loading route can pass every geometric check and still leave a miserable changeover
