Request a dimensioned comparison of the tested and supplied assemblies, then have your integrator assess the changed tool position and the agreed handling task. The seller should also offer the route back to the confirmed adapter, so equivalence isn't your only conversation.
That leaves the offset unexplained. Point to the actual dimension you need, with the two drawings identified, rather than letting them answer whether the bolt pattern fits again.
And retain the A2 supply option while they assess A4. Comparing the alternatives may be quicker than funding an open-ended development exercise just because the replacement is already in your crate.
