I've received another top view of our FR5 carton pattern. It fits the pallet, but the reinforced box ends sit over gaps in the rotated row. I asked for support and tool access together.

Who is collecting the packaging and tooling comments into one revision? It sounds as though somebody keeps answering the carton-count question you aren't asking.

Integrator owns the layout, but packaging's underside sketch wasn't attached to their latest review. I've sent it directly to both designers now.

Ask them to show the fingers through release and withdrawal in the section too. A gap that looks sufficient in the finished layer might not leave room to get the tool out.

We got stuck with separate layer views on a UR5e proposal. Overlaying the lower layer made the argument much shorter. Has anyone checked the first layer against your pallet deck as well?

Elliot, yes, the bottom layer gets forgotten because everyone is busy arguing about rotation. It still needs the carton bearing areas drawn against the deck.

Yes, Oliver. Packaging has the order mix now. Elliot, deck support is included in the revised request; Bruno, so is complete finger withdrawal.

Oliver, do you normally finish partials by hand? I'd want to know where the operator needs to reach before recommending another gap arrangement.

In our area, yes, with an agreed manual pattern. I wouldn't assume Anika's proposed automatic sequence could leave the pallet anywhere convenient for that without a separate check.

Keep the operator's pallet diagram with the approved revision when you get there. We changed a pattern and nearly trained people to reproduce the previous one.

And keep any lower-count alternative in the price comparison if one is proposed. More pallets can change the labour saving quite a lot, even when the tool gets an easier job.

Joint section review is booked. No replacement pattern proposed yet. Henry, the operator diagram is listed as a handover item, not something we'll remember afterwards.
