A joint message to the contacts you already use makes sense. Getting them to connect the references should establish the shipment's location.

No. Matching references could just connect two bookings. It doesn't put a crate in either warehouse.

Collection and warehouse arrival can be separate events, so the statements could coexist. That possibility still needs confirmation for this particular shipment.
