The FR5 crate arrived with a crushed corner and the controller displaced against its supports. There is visible enclosure damage near a connection panel. I have left it unpowered and retained the packaging, but the seller's only instruction is to switch it on. I need a proper assessment route.

Keep it unpowered. Who at the seller has reviewed the damage photos, sales or someone qualified to assess the equipment?

Sales contact. I sent the wide crate view and close-ups of the enclosure. They answered within minutes, which makes me doubt anybody technical had looked at them.

Ask them to pass it to technical service. A quick power-on request doesn't address that damage.

Requested service assessment and supplied the identification details privately. I've also reported the arrival condition to the carrier with the same photos.

Our receiving team once photographed the broken crate and missed the loose internal brace that explained the impact. Did you capture where those supports ended up before anything was moved?

Yes. Took photos as the outer panels came off. The controller had shifted against one brace; that position is visible before we touched the contents.

Can I ask who locally will carry out any inspection the supplier proposes, because the instructions need to reach a qualified person rather than leave you interpreting them at the crate?

And no straightening the enclosure to make it look better for the next photo.

We kept the loose packing pieces together. The assessor wanted to see them later.

Has technical service replied yet?

They acknowledged the photos and asked for an external view of the opposite side. Our local qualified contractor can assess it once the scope is agreed. No request to power it now.

Did the carrier give you a damage-report reference? Keep that with the service exchange, we had two departments asking us for the same arrival pictures weeks apart.

Yes, reference saved with the pictures. The equipment and packaging remain as received. We are waiting for the written assessment scope and who covers the inspection cost.

Please update when the assessor has seen it. Hard to judge how far that damage goes from a crate photo.
