fr10 tool-cover damage is not answered by switch it on

Our FR10 crate arrived with a crushed corner and shifted supports. There is visible damage near the tool-interface cover. I kept the packaging and delivery photographs, and have not powered it. The seller says switch it on; I want an assessment of the arrival condition, not just a boot result.

What damage can you actually see at the cover?

A dent at the cover edge and an uneven gap beside it. I cannot tell what lies behind it. Or whether the shifted support caused that particular mark, though both are in the arrival photographs.

Request review by someone qualified for the supplied assembly, with the serial identification and views showing both the damage and packing support positions. Keep it unpowered pending an appropriate assessment. A successful startup would not establish that the impact caused no other damage.

Is someone responsible for keeping it undisturbed in your receiving area?

Does the seller's reply identify a technical reviewer, or is it only the sales contact's instruction?

Alex, our stores lead has the hold and the retained packing. Robin, only the sales contact so far. There is no named reviewer or assessment method in that message.

Then ask for that technical contact. Keep the dent description separate from guesses about internal damage.

Also separate the assessment request from the remedy discussion. Inspection at your site, collection or replacement may have different handling requirements; none is established merely by asking the seller to take responsibility.

Dinesh, that helps. I was treating a collection request as if repacking was already agreed.

Callum, are your close-ups linked to an overall view, so the reviewer can locate the affected area?

Yes, close-ups and overall views are linked by the cover position. I've sent the serial photograph too. Asked for their technical reviewer and a proposed assessment, with no power-on trial offered.

Sales says the pictures have been passed to technical support. Nobody has contacted us with a method yet. The unit remains on hold; I am not booking the assembly-sample setup around that referral.

Referral noted. Still no assessment result or agreed handling plan.
