The arm crate reached us; its separately identified mounting-hardware crate did not. Consolidated freight, confusing package count on the receipt, and forty-three days of asking the seller and carrier about the missing identifier. I keep getting the delivery status for the whole consignment. What would make this a trace of our actual missing crate?

Put the seller's crate mark, contents list, consolidation reference and your receiving evidence together, and ask the forwarder to identify the last physical handover recorded for that crate. Don't guess what the receipt's handling-unit count means. Have them explain how the two crate identities map to it, because delivered for the consignment isn't an answer about which pieces reached your bench.
