Our Fairino FR10 arrived from an unnamed seller in China in a crate with a crushed corner and shifted internal supports.
I can see damage near the arm connector housing.
We bought it for loading lightweight fixtures; I haven't powered it.
I've photographed the delivery and kept the packaging, but the seller's reply just says to switch it on.
Check whether your photographs include the shipment label and supports as well as a wider view of the damaged area. That context would help a reviewer interpret the visible condition.
@TobyAllen0318 Yes. I've got the crushed corner and shifted restraint before unpacking, plus wider photos around the arm connector housing. I kept the delivery paperwork too.
@EllaAllen0294 Provide the photographs and delivery details, asking for qualified assessment and suitable handling instructions. Keep the equipment off while the seller's power-on suggestion lacks an inspection procedure.
The restraint displacement suggests that an impact reached the equipment itself. Include that image in the assessment request alongside the external crate photographs.
You're right; my interpretation went beyond the photograph. The restraint displacement should be reported as an observation for the assessor to evaluate.
@NadiaAli0204 Even successful startup would leave possible hidden damage unanswered. The visible condition warrants an agreed assessment method before the equipment is energized.
@EllaAllen0294 On a separate machine delivery of mine, the wide shots were more useful than my dramatic close-up. The reviewer needed to know where the mark sat.
@EllaAllen0294 Keep the originals and label copies. Simple filenames or arrows can help, as long as they don't cover the detail you're asking them to inspect.
@AlexArcher0385 My receipt note covers the crate condition. The closer equipment photos came from unpacking. I'll keep that distinction in the captions.
I've organized the arrival photos and can request a specific condition assessment. Our equipment remains unpowered because that assessment hasn't happened.
