Our FR10 cabinet arrived tilted inside the crate, with one foot through the packing and a crease beside the lower panel. I've kept it unpowered; the seller wants a startup clip before discussing collection.
Send the visible damage and packing evidence first. Ask who will assess it and what information that person needs. A startup clip cannot establish that a freight-damaged cabinet is fit to commission.
I sent wide shots and the crease close-up, with the cabinet still where it arrived. They replied asking whether the screen lights up. Same question in a smaller envelope.
Purchasing has asked for their technical contact and told stores to leave the packing together. We can still access all the exterior labels without moving the cabinet.
Agreed. I was referring to preserving the condition, not diagnosing the frame. The report should say crease in the lower panel and foot through packing.
Our receiving team uses one person to handle follow-up photos. Less chance of three people shifting things and then arguing about the arrival condition. I cannot judge your cabinet from the description, but that arrangement saved us a lot of confusion.
They've agreed to an inspection arranged through our integrator, with the written findings sent to both parties. Foot damage remains unconfirmed. Nothing has been powered and collection isn't agreed yet.
