Our spacer pickups looked steadier after I added a tray locator. A few supervised runs, then a miss after tray replacement. I can't call that a fix; what should the report preserve?

Preserve the sequence and the conditions you actually recorded. Which tray was used before and after replacement, whether it was seated against the locator, and what the miss looked like. Unknown details stay unknown; the later miss does not erase the earlier observation, but it limits what you can claim from it.

Tray identities retained. Locator contact wasn't recorded after replacement. I wrote more consistent, not measured improvement; important distinction.

Yes. Does the report include the original wording people already saw? A quiet edit can leave the shift repeating a stronger claim than you now intend.

Added a dated correction beside the earlier locator note, including the later miss and unrecorded seating. No cause established.
