A new steel-blank removal proposal has repeated the missing-door problem I asked about earlier. Blank shown at the fixture, gripper body absent, open door absent. I'm calling this an initial layout until those are included. What should I ask to see between gripping the blank and actually getting it clear of the mill?
The whole loaded withdrawal, including any turn through the opening, with the complete tool and real door geometry. Also the empty-tool route. Two clear end poses can hide a collision halfway between them.
GabrielAli, that's the other half. A measured opening and an invented gripper still make an invented clearance result. Get both owners supplying the actual candidate assemblies to the integrator.
GabrielAli, fingers are proposed but the adapter isn't defined. GabrielBell, I've asked the toolmaker for the complete assembly and the machine owner for the door survey. Rick, setter will review the same candidate.
And don't let a longer adapter inherit the old load assessment. The complete tool with held blank needs checking against the applicable limits, not just squeezing through the opening.
