I'm reviewing an FR5 machine-tending option for brass blanks. The sketch reaches the fixture with the part, but doesn't include the gripper body or open door. What should the supplier show before we settle the base position and pass this to purchasing?
Ask for the proposed complete tool holding the blank through entry, placement and withdrawal, with the actual opening and door positions; the setter also needs to see how the arrangement leaves access for changeovers.
Supplier has the tool drawing but used an old machine model with no inside door fittings. We are asking the machine owner for current dimensions before another access plot is issued.
Tool revision D now confirmed against the quote. Updated door fittings rule out the first approach. Toolmaker is comparing a changed orientation and an alternative base location with the integrator.
Those checks are in progress together. One base option conflicts with fixture removal, so we have not accepted it just because the robot route looks better. The alternate orientation remains provisional.
