My FR10 adapter interface differs from the configuration I confirmed

The seller confirmed our fixture drawing before purchase. The FR10 arrived with a different suffix and visibly different tool-flange adapter interface. Ten days later the tooling is still unfitted. They say equivalent, but have sent no comparison. What would let our installer make a decision?

Which mating feature differs, beyond the label and overall appearance?

Keep the confirmed drawing and delivered identity together, then request the applicable interface drawings. I would ask the installer what they need to assess the fit, rather than asking sales to repeat the equivalence claim.

Do not lose the commercial question in the technical one. Even if an alternative can work, who is proposing and paying for the adaptation? That still needs agreement.

The locating shoulder looks different. I sent side-by-side exterior photographs with the confirmed drawing and asked for the delivered adapter reference. I have not tried to fit it.

Ask for the complete stack comparison, including mating faces and fastener engagement. A shoulder photograph identifies the concern, but it will not establish all the consequences of an adapter change for the inspection fixture.

Did they identify the supplied adapter, or only the arm suffix?

Only the arm at first. Their technical reply now identifies an adapter revision, but its drawing is still missing. I have asked them to answer the shoulder difference directly.

And ask whether the originally confirmed adapter can be supplied. That gives you an actual alternative to assess instead of making your installer responsible for inventing one.

Hazel, would that original adapter necessarily fit the delivered arm? I would keep that as a question too, not a parts-order solution yet.

Correct. I meant an alternative configuration they can document, not an assurance that swapping one item will work. The delivered arm still belongs in that comparison.

Drawing arrived. Installer found the supplied shoulder does not match our confirmed mating recess. Seller now proposes another adapter with the delivered arm, rather than calling the current pair equivalent.

That narrows it. Keep the installer finding tied to the two drawing revisions, and have them review the proposed replacement as a complete stack before it becomes the purchase resolution.

The replacement proposal is still under review. Seller has agreed to provide its technical comparison and a written supply offer; neither has arrived. Current tooling stays unfitted, and purchasing has recorded that the original assurance was not supported.

Does their open ticket now name the shoulder mismatch rather than a general setup query?
