The FR10 spare adapter is apparently always about to ship

Main FR10 package complete. Extra gripper adapter absent. Thirty-eight days of 'next shipment'. Still no parcel to trace.

Ask for an answer against the spare line, with its exact adapter reference and quantity. I would also ask whether it is actually available. Otherwise next shipment can mean anything from packed on a shelf to somebody hoping a supplier will answer.

They confirmed the spare line. Say the adapter is available. No dispatch date.

Is anything else missing from the kit, Priya, or can you make this one adapter the whole query?

Only the adapter. Other spare items counted and checked.

Then I would stop sending the complete kit list. It gives them plenty of delivered things to talk about instead of the one undelivered thing.

Could they quote separate dispatch? I don't mean you should automatically pay it. Just find out whether the obstacle is freight or the adapter. I've seen available mean available from somebody else, which is a rather elastic definition.

Kai, agreed on finding the obstacle, though I would first ask them to fulfil the paid line. Starting with an offer to cover postage can become the only part of the email they read.

Asked them to dispatch the paid spare separately. They want to add it to another buyer's order.

Why would your spare go into another buyer's order? Same forwarder?

Same freight consolidator. Not the same destination. They mean send both to consolidation together.

That makes more sense than posting your adapter to a stranger, but it still leaves your timing dependent on a purchase you know nothing about.

Nadia, fair correction about postage. I was trying to expose the reason, not reward the delay. Priya has got the reason now and it sounds like their convenience rather than missing stock.

Priya, can they offer a separate parcel reference under your own order once it is collected? With only one item left, a clean receipt should finally end this.

They agreed separate dispatch at their cost. Sent a packing photo and label. Collection still unconfirmed.

Does the packing photo show the agreed adapter reference?

Yes. Reference and spare order line visible.

Keep that picture for receiving. A parcel label alone will not tell them whether the right adapter arrived.

Collection scan appeared. Receiving has the reference and photo. Thanks, Nadia, for keeping the request narrow.

Much less mysterious than next shipment. Is anyone still waiting on the main package for the proposed work, or was this purely the spare cupboard?

Purely the spare. Main package was complete from the start.
