I asked for packaging's answer on the rotated row before signing our FR5 pallet plan. They returned a section with the cases facing one way; the tool designer's revised top view faces them the other way to keep labels outward. The cases have a preferred support direction because of their internal packing.
Both drawings look finished. Which one are we supposed to build? I need the two requirements reconciled, not another signature on a different picture.
Our review also reached a disagreement after the section arrived. Keep both needs visible. Moving the carton to clear the fingers did not settle its support on ours.
Is outward-facing identification required on every case, or was it assumed from the current manual arrangement? That may change the options, but dispatch must answer it.
Sofia, I'd ask that too. We sometimes describe the way we do a job as if it were the only way it can be done. Doesn't mean the label requirement is imaginary.
Dispatch says they need to identify cases on the exposed faces, not every label facing the same aisle. That gives the reviewers another option, but I haven't changed their drawings myself.
Rebecca, yes, that belongs with dispatch's answer. I would not infer partial-pallet usability from the full-stack illustration, even with the clarified label requirement.
They are checking partial finishes too. We have one revised candidate that keeps the supporting direction and changes the label-facing arrangement. Tool withdrawal still being reviewed.
Both views now reference C3. Packaging accepts the support shown there; dispatch accepts the identification on the illustrated full and partial stacks. No tooling approval yet.
