I'm comparing Fairino FR5 with other candidates: tray-to-fixture loading with a rigid plastic cap in a small production workshop, with 46 planned. One demo used a tidy tray; another used our awkward workshop tray.
Both looked promising. I don't think the videos answer the same question.
@AnilBrown0897 Have you listed tray adjustments separately from missed pickups? Comparing those observations could show how much of the apparent transfer performance depended on preparation.
@AnilBrown0897 Use those notes to plan a common tray trial, including normal replacement. Agree what counts as acceptable placement and operator help, then record both for each candidate.
We had a separate transfer application where the locating step was awkward, but the continuous run looked fine. A tray replacement by another operator exposed it.
In my own comparison, we included the cost in the complete package and identified its source as fixture work. How we categorised it didn't change the need to fund it.
Fair correction; I overstated that. Keep the gripping requirement consistent, document adapters and tuning, and assess the actual proposed tools where a shared gripper would distort things.
