Only if the original records establish which bracket it belongs to and what check produced it. Recover the identification and inspection method with quality and fabrication; do not join a nearby final pass to the failed part merely because it makes a complete story.
Keep the correction note as evidence that some work occurred, with its identity gap stated. It can guide questions for the current study without supplying a success rate or time per bracket.
Have the people doing the current work define the stages before recording them: incoming fit-up, intended fixture location, released inspection and any correction or reinspection. Otherwise the new sheet may contain more detail and the same missing links.
