Cannot agree to power this FR5 package after the pendant impact

The FR5 delivery for our molded-piece sorting plan has a crushed crate corner and a displaced support beside the pendant. There is visible damage to the pendant enclosure. We have not powered the package. I sent arrival photographs and retained the packing. The seller's reply says to turn it on and see. I want a competent assessment first, with somebody responsible for deciding what can be checked without making matters worse. What should I include in that request?

Can your photographs link the displaced support and damaged enclosure to the package identities, without opening or disturbing the affected equipment further?

Keep it unpowered. A casual switch-on suggestion is not a condition assessment.

Yes, Dinesh. We photographed the packing before removing the outer cover, then the visible enclosure damage and labels. We have not opened the pendant or tried a power test.

Ask for a named competent person to review that evidence and define the assessment scope, including any limits on what can be established onsite. Agree responsibility for attendance and transport before arranging either, rather than assuming the seller's email has settled those costs.

Will the assessor see the packing too, Farah?

Emma, would you ask for the proposed assessment sequence in writing before a visit is booked?

Yes, including who may authorise any powered testing after the initial condition review. I would not invent the sequence for damaged equipment myself; the point is to have the responsible person explain what they will assess and what remains outside it.

Amara, the packing remains available with the photographs. Seller has referred the case to a service contact. I have requested the named assessor, scope and arrangements; a referral is all we have so far.

Then no visit confirmed yet.

Did service respond with a plan?

They propose an onsite condition review but have not named the assessor or agreed the cost. We have asked them to complete that proposal. The package remains unpowered, and our installation date is not booked.
