Our FR10 package arrived with an adapter that is visibly deeper than the one used in the agreed housing trial. The seller calls it equivalent, but the trial already had limited clearance beside the receiving nest.
We have paused installation while our integrator reviews the replacement. I would like the seller to explain the design change and show how the supplied assembly meets the same handling requirement, including the work someone will have to do if the old setup no longer applies.
They sent an outline drawing after we asked. It confirms the extra stand-off, but omits the fittings shown on the delivered assembly. Our integrator has requested the complete arrangement.
That is not agreed. The seller says installation adjustment is our responsibility. Our order includes the trialled tooling arrangement, so purchasing has asked them to address the substitution first.
I'd ask them to price returning to the agreed adapter alongside proving this one works, otherwise you can sink a lot of review time into their convenient substitute.
The integrator's layout review now shows a fitting overlapping the nest envelope. No hardware test was needed to find that. The seller says the original adapter would need to be made again; we have asked for that proposal and have not accepted reprogramming around the replacement.
