I plotted our UR5e pickup adjustments and they mostly go in one direction, while the spacer blocks now sit at a slight angle in the gripper. The tray looks stationary to me. What observations would distinguish a seating problem from something changing in the tool?

Inspect both under proper isolation. 'Looks stationary' isn't a check of the locating surfaces or fasteners.
