What should our UR5e spare-cable dispatch request specify?

The fitted pendant cable arrived with our UR5e, but the additional one in the spare kit did not. I've kept those quantities separate in the receipt. The seller acknowledges the spare and says next shipment; I want a standalone answer before maintenance starts treating that promise as stock.

Ask whether the exact spare is available and what separate dispatch arrangement they offer against the original order. I mean an identified cable, quantity and proposed supply route, not merely a new expected-delivery sentence.

They say the cable is ready, but the quoted courier cost is higher than I expected. No booking made. I've asked them to cover delivery since it was included in the package.

Would the proposed parcel contain only the cable or the rest of the spare kit too? I mean the missing contents, not another photograph of everything already fitted to the robot.

Check the missing-item list against that proposal. A parcel can close one line without closing the kit.

Theo, only the extra cable is missing from our kit. Nina, that is the one open line. The seller has agreed to pay the courier but hasn't supplied a collection reference yet.

Good. Keep it at agreed dispatch pending collection, then. It is tempting to turn their payment agreement into sent when you've finally got a different answer.

Does goods-in know the spare's marking? Our small parcels tend to go straight to whoever recognises the workshop name, then the person chasing the shortage never hears about them.

Theo, yes. Put the shortage reference with receiving instructions, not only the supplier email chain.

Goods-in has the marking and shortage reference now. Carrier records collection against the separate parcel. Still not received, but this is finally a shipment rather than an expression of optimism.

Thanks for confirming that, Ada. When it arrives, keep its actual contents check separate from the carrier's delivered update. Wrong small cable is still wrong small cable, however efficiently it travels.

Did it reach goods-in and match the ordered spare? A proper end to that open line would be good to hear.
